The opening Group status race on the Doomben 10,000 Day card in Brisbane this Saturday, May 28, sees the fillies and mares face off in the Glenlogan Park Stakes 2016, betting for which is firmly led by Ghisoni.

After originally also being entered for the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m), connections of the John OâShea-trained Lonhro filly Ghisoni opted for the easier assignment in the $150,000 Group 3 Glenlogan Park Stakes at the same track / distance.
The Godolphin-raced three-year-old is up against the older mares and is drawn wide in gate 10 of 11, but the bookies are taking no chances and have Ghisoni is the odds-on $1.75 favourite and firming in the latest Glenlogan Park Stakes odds at Ladbrokes.com.au.
A lightly-raced improver, she has won three of her five starts to date including Randwickâs Group 2 Surround Stakes (1400m) from February and is also Group 1 performed having finished sixth to Peeping in the Coolmore classic (1500m) in March.
Last start she ran fifth and was defeated only 1.3 lengths by Japonisme, subsequent third in the Group 1 BTC Cup (1200m) a fortnight back at Doomben, and looks a big danger in her own Brisbane run this weekend.
There is just one other single-figure hope in the current Glenlogan Park Stakes betting markets with the Chris Waller-trained Amicus ($4.60) in gate five with Blake Shinn in the saddle.
The returning Fastnet Rock four-year-old is first-up having last run third to Zanbagh in the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on March 26.
She has trialled twice since in Sydney ahead of her maiden Brisbane assignment and is looking for her first success since the Group 2 Breedersâ Classic (1200m) in early February.
Amicus won that first-up giving her an overall record of two wins and two thirds from five first-up runs to date, and if she comes back in similar fresh form here could be hard to hold out.
The next best in betting at more generous odds include Darren Weirâs dual Group 2 winner La Passe ($12) drawn well in gate two as she looks to return to form, veteran seven-year-old Cradle Me ($12) coming off a third at Scone, the consistent Just a Blur ($14) who won the Wagga Town Plate two back and the rails-drawn Press Report ($14).
Lee Curtisâs Written Tycoon four-year-old Press Report comes off back-to-back thirds behind Nancy and Danish Twist respectively in the Group 3 Hawkesbury Crown (1300m) and Group 3 Dark Jewel Classic (1400m).
Jeff Penza is replaced by Ryan Wiggins on Saturday aboard the mare who only needs to improve slightly on that recent form to win from the good gate.
